The bell trap drain is designed for use in garage, patio or other outdoor areas to drain water to a well of the unit that serves as a trap to contain sewer gas. Manufactured and assembled in the USA by Plastic Oddities, “Friend of the Plumber”. The drain is for general purpose drainage requirements where clamping of a waterproofing membrane is not required. The drain is molded in a bell trap with the strainer hinged to the body with a threaded brass insert for attaching the cover. It is available in four sizes and is made of high quality PVC. I noticed the edges are getting more and more sloppy on the parts as they have very big burrs from the molding and need to be cut off.
I have also noticed for some odd reason my 3 inch pipe does not fit snuggly into the sleeve. It is very loose and would be very hard to fully glue into place. I don't know if this is a pipe issue or a part issue. It should be checked. On the plus side, the parts arrived undamaged and they are very strong with the thick plastic walls.
